Awakening with Nature- All Day Retreat
April 24 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm$70.00
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you like sunshine flows into trees.”
Event Type: In Person
To maintain COVID safety, the outing will be limited to ten participants. We’ll practice social distancing and wear masks for safety when appropriate.
Cost: Sliding scale, $20 – $100.
50% of fees will be donated to a non-profit organization that works to protect our natural world.
Come reconnect and recharge in the the mountain forests outside of Idyllwild, CA. The day of quiet walking, meditation, and contemplative practices will be led by psychologist, author, and mindfulness teacher, Dr. Rochelle Calvert, and Awake in the Wild nature meditation teacher, Gregory Crespo. Gregory lives on the mountain and will be leading the group away from the spring-time crowds to lesser known trails. The day will include a mix of group instruction as well as time to individually spread out and explore different meditation and contemplative practices in the forest with the added safety and support of a nearby group and teachers. The focus of the practices will be on knowing the natural world with deep presence and opening to the experiences we find on the mountain and in ourselves. While we’ll be moving slowly, participants will need to be able to walk on rugged forest trails over a distance of 1-3 miles during the course of the day.
Since space at this event is limited to ten people, participants will need to register and pay the event fee in order to reserve their spot. Registration will be complete after you submit the below form and send the fee payment through Venmo or PayPal to firstname.lastname@example.org. Fees are refundable if canceled more than 1 week before the event. Cancellations within one week of the event will be refunded 50% of the fee.
