Heal in nature with the support of elements awareness practices- earth, air, fire, water and space. Spend the day learning and exploring meditation practices for growth and healing in nature. Through mindfulness nature elements practices, somatic experiencing practices, teaching, journaling, community, and support, you will have an opportunity to find a greater connection to yourself. You will learn ways to cultivate a greater sense of peace, equanimity in the challenging times, ways to open your heart and learn skills to integrate these practices into your everyday life that will support your healing journey. We will use the community, nature and healing of Terra Madre’s gardens to support the healing of the body, mind and heart through connection to our inner elements and the world of elements around.
Timeline / Outline of the event:
10 – Arrive, settle in, Introductions, nature mindfulness practice
10:30-12:30 – Teaching and practices on element awareness practices and somatic experiencing, how they relate to help healing challenging experiences and deepen interconnection
12:30-2 – Lunch – opportunities for silence, connection to the land, to practice what has been learned and/or meet with teachers individually
2-3:30 – Teaching and element awareness practices can restore healing to the body, mind and heart
3:30-4:30 – Community connection, sharing and support
4:30 – Closing, offering on-going support
Materials on topics discussed will be provided, and opportunities for journaling will be available throughout the workshop. Mindfulness practices will be both seated and movement based.
