SoCal EcoSangha was created to support reconnection to the natural world through meditation and mindfulness practices, with the belief that when we wake to our own nature, we cannot help but work to find healthier ways to coexist with our planet.
We believe that meditation and mindfulness practices foster a deep connection to truths of our nature, and when practiced outside in the natural world, deepen our connection to, and understanding of, our place on Earth.
We believe (and science agrees) that being in nature is healing, and that connecting to the joys of simplicity, silence, and solitude can help us balance life in a society that is hyperactive but in short supply of meaningful connections and experiences.
We believe that we are bombarded by reminders of scarcity, fear, and inadequacy, and we strive to build a community that supports and reminds us of our abundance, strength, and inherent goodness.
In this time of ecological crisis, we support each other, we support mindfulness practices as a way to find truth and resilience, and we support our Earth and those who fight to protect her.
SoCal EcoSangha was formed in 2019 by four friends to share their love of nature and mindfulness with others. It was formed in solidarity with our planet and all those fighting to protect her. It was formed to help people reconnect, fall in love, and protect what they love.
